PostAi Scout Workflow — Cab to Cash
A plain-English walkthrough of how a scout turns a drive-by into a paid lead. For onboarding, help-center, and recruiting use. Brand: PostAi (postai.llc).
PostAi was built for people who already spend their day driving past houses — contractors, route drivers, anyone with a windshield and a few spare minutes. A "scout" captures a property, the app does the heavy lifting, and a flyer goes out the door. Here is the whole loop.
The five-second capture
You pull up to a property and take one photo from your phone. That single tap is the entire data-entry step. PostAi reads your GPS position, reverse-geocodes it through Google Maps into a street address, and pulls the property record from RentCast — beds, baths, square footage, lot size, owner-occupancy. You never touch a keyboard.
If a service degrades — say RentCast has no record — the app falls back gracefully to a mock address rather than blocking you, so capture never stalls in the field.
The instant quote
With the property data in hand, PostAi's quoting engine builds a transparent estimate for the service you scouted. You pick the services from a taxonomy (lawn, pressure washing, pest control, and so on), and the engine prices them against locality profiles and any rate sheets on file. The result is a number you can stand behind, with a breakdown the homeowner can actually read.
Want to add color? Press and hold to record a quick voice note — "front yard's overgrown, gutters need a look." PostAi sends that transcript to Claude, which returns three to five clean mailer bullets. Your rambling becomes marketing copy.
The flyer
Out comes a flyer: a printed mailer plus a QR code that points to a live landing page at /p/[id]. This is the heart of PostAi — the flyer is a storefront, not a dead piece of paper. You can print it on the spot or text it to the homeowner through the app (SMS via Twilio).
The homeowner scan
When the homeowner scans the QR code, they land on a page that shows the quote, a "how we priced this" explainer, and one-tap actions. They can confirm their address (earning a small micro-credit), acknowledge the quote, or share it with a neighbor. A GPS check quietly warns if the person scanning is more than 500 meters from the flyer location, which keeps confirmations honest.
The booking — and your payout
From that same page the homeowner can fire off a booking request, which texts the contractor instantly. The lead you generated from the cab of your truck is now a real job on someone's calendar. Scouts earn on the leads they produce, and the scout dashboard tracks captures, flyers, jobs, and earnings in one place.
Why it works
The math is simple. The bottleneck in field sales has always been data entry and quoting — the stuff that happens between seeing a house and handing over a price. PostAi collapses that to a photo and a voice note. One scout can realistically work scores of properties in a couple of hours, and every flyer is a small, trackable storefront that keeps selling after you drive away.
